Carl M Cox is an English designer, writer and record producer. He is the creative and managing director of a small independent media group called Prolific Media Group (or PMG for short) and in addition to being an A&R (artist and repertoire) executive for the group, writes songs and produces music with his production partners, Nathan Thomas, Andy Firth and Steen Ulrich. Carl, who describes himself as being completely obsessed with pop music, is a member of the British Academy of Composers, Songwriters & Authors (BACSA)- an organisation which campaigns politically on behalf of all songwriters in the UK and hosts the highly prestigious annual Ivor Novello Awards.
Carl has been involved in the media for over twelve years working for a variety of people and organisations including, The Walt Disney Company, Virgin Group, BBC, Pete Waterman, Sony Music, Fox News and many others. His prominence within the music industry began to rise in 2005 following a stint at Pete Waterman’s PWL Radio and co-writing songs with Boney M’s Frank Farian and Lotte Aaggard- one half of the Danish team behind Aqua.
In addition to working with world renowned producer Pete Hammond, Carl has co-produced music for West End star and winner of ITV’s ‘Grease Is The Word’, Danny Bayne. He's also the main music producer for X-Factor’s Sinitta and is currently working on compiling her new "Greatest Hits" album. Another music icon who has recently benefited from the Carl M Cox touch is enigmatic disco legend, Amanda Lear. Carl and his PMG Music team have also recently signed their latest talent, Kash, and are currently developing material with him. This is alongside a couple of projects for TV with Fox News' “Mr. Showbiz”, Neil Sean.
