Influences
I don't want to single out any one musician, but basically all the guys on the Rhyme Torrents & CrossPlatformMusic forums... I take most of my sound from some abstract different genres - Punk, Nerdcore, Chiptune, Ska, Happy Hardcore, Techno and just a slight little spattering of noise.
I like to think it comes out as Nerdcore, but what do I know.
Sounds Like
We sound like the resulting offspring of an unholy union between DJ Sy & MC Frontalot, with Refused as a contraceptive. That baby was allowed to grow for 5 years, listening to a solid audio diet of nothing but the theme tune to King Of The Hill and HamSTAR, which was consequently devoured by Phil Collins (Genesis Era), vomited onto a Bitshifter and Sabrepulse mixtape, that snapped in the cheap 80's standard tape player in your car that you could never afford to upgrade.
If I was you, I'ld just listen. Almost every song I make is a totally different genre.
But then also, If I WAS you, I would get off of my fat ass, turn off MySpace and go to your local play park and rediscover the joy of swings and slides. And monkey bars.
Category is a Musician/Rapper/Producer from the fabled lands of England. Making Nerdcore influenced music, but in a gritty and hard hitting UK style... UK-GEEK-CORE will rise up, if only in my bedroom "studio".
Ooooh, all kinds I think,chiptune-y things like Sabrepulse and Henry Homesweet!, You And What Army? have a lot of crazy "robots from the future coming to kill everyone" songs that I love, recently started listening to Chameleon Circuit who write songs purely about Doctor Who... You :D, Dan Plus Add and other artists from the Here Come A New Challenger album. Got any recomendations?

Just wondered where he from, because he sounds Southern-ish! I commented that he was as good as the Doyouinverts, but he hadn't heard them 'til then... have you? hi matey, what is your actual name btw?! on same weekend as the wedding do at the pub, the day before is strawberry fair, which is a huge free festival in cambridge, if you wanna make a weekend of it? can probably find you a floor or sofa at ours! i will ask the guy who runs pub if theres a chance of getting a p.a. and do a collab set or something? or just do yourself (fnar!) or you can just bring some cds and regale us with some chawns? im djing a set, and astroboy is doing djing too! you know him?

Well, Pixelh8, Astroboy and myself (among shedloads of others who are more just electronica, but not geek related)all drink in same pub, so might see if something would work in the Summer? They also have a pub-garden-festie there called Swanfest, I'll see when they arranging bookimgs, if ya like...
