A project that continues the evolution of Latin music in Los Angeles is still the one and only Cava. With Taiko’s on her right and Cajon in the middle its no surprise the battle to progress her sound is always an uphill one. Her second album due to be released late 2009, is nothing to be rushed. With a working title of “Ceviche/Gumbo” you can begin to imagine the mixture of sounds to be included.
Picture the Soul of Mexico – L.A – Africa – and Colombia, what the Japanese would call an ikebana arrangement, a disciplined art form in which nature and humanity are brought together. PERMISSION TO GOOGLE Like the flower arrangement, Cava intends to express the merging creativity behind these sister worlds and perhaps remind us of how we were ONE not too long ago.
