ABOUT THE ALBUM
Cecil is a composer/pianist/studio musician from Sacramento, CA, USA. His new CD Talk To the Hand is a smooth blend of danceable rhythms, emotional ballads, and smooth R&B grooves. The long awaited CD reflects contemporary jazz, R&B, latin and Brazilian influences that features Cecil's playing, writing, and arranging skills.
The album features four of Cecil's original songs including "Sunflowers", the romantic ballad written for Cecil's wife, Karen, that ranked 1 on Broadjam's Contemporary Jazz charts for 4 consecutive months. Also featured are all-new arrangements of the 1980's El DeBarge hit "Someone", the Roberta Flack classic "Feel Like Making Love", the sultry Spyro Gyra ballad "Autumn of Our Love", the slamming Everette Harp groove "Kisses Don't Lie", and the funky hit "Do You Really Love Me?" by Cecil's good friend and smooth jazz hero, Brian Culbertson.
Talk To The Hand was recorded in Sacramento, CA with location recordings in southern California and central Michigan. The album was produced by Cecil and award-winning northern California producer/engineer Ralph Stover. Talk To The Hand showcases the talents of veteran guitarists Ramon Stagnaro and Bruce Kaldor.
Cecil, Hope that you've had a good week. Mine was busy but great! I'm finally starting to work with video. Here's a short version of my tune, "New Horizons". Although the sound quality needs some improvement, it does show me having fun!
It was great chatting to you too and thanks for sending me your track. It sounds very kool and will definitely try some ideas but please bear with me because I am very busy.
Have a nice day and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Greetings Cecil: Welcome to my top 40 Producers, and Artist page. You have a great style, and composition, and will make a wonderful addition to my friends. James Stinson Producer , ASCAP Artist
