Some of my interests are computer programming, building computer systems, playing the keyboard and attending Highland Games. Love to research my family roots and clan when I have the time. My number one enjoyment in life are my wife and kids.
Computers interest me alot. Here are some skills I have learned about computers: HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, MySQL, Java, Visual Basic, C++, XML, ASP, Focus, Access, Excel and SQL. Experienced with installation and administration of web based scripts through SSH or FTP. Expertise in the installation and administration of Linux and Windows based operating systems. Fully knowledgeable in all PC hardware related components, troubleshooting, networking, routers and customized computer systems. Working knowledge of popular graphically and sound editing software.
Music
A wide range of musical tastes! Celtic music is my favorite - from the heart pounding Pipes & Drums of the Highlands of Scotland, to the inspirational Gaelic vocals from the green hills of Ireland.
Movies
Lord of the Rings, Narnia, Harry Potter, Braveheart, Kingdom of Heaven. Anything Disney!
Television
Don't watch that much of it - spend most of my time watching movies and on the net working on CelticRadio.net
Books
During my very limited spare time I read magazines such as Discovery, Popular Science and computer software/hardware help guides.
Heroes
Not sure if I have a hero. I have admired many people in my life - from movie stars, to real life people, to politicians. I always seem to come back to my Dad as a role model - although he passed away when I was 27.

P. Curtis MacArthur is the founder and developer of CelticRadio.net and Highlander Radio. An avid musician, computer technician, father and husband – he set out in the Year of our Lord, Two Thousand, exploring and discovering the culture of his ancestors through Highland Games and Celtic music festivals. Thus was born the idea of Highlander Radio. In 2003 he received a programming certificate from Worcester Poly Technical Institute specializing in web technologies involving dynamic websites and databases. Harnessing his new found skills in scripting and databases, his redesign of CelticRadio.net in 2004 propelled Highlander Radio to win the 2005 Best of Live365 Award for World Music Station. If you are a musician that plays Celtic music then please visit our musician page to learn how to be heard on Highlander Radio!

I am not sure if you aware of the flooding that is affecting many folks in Ireland and the UK. Parts of Ireland have been hit very hard. The City of Cork is at the moment recovering from what some say "the worst flooding in 800 years". Some of us here on Myspace got together on Skully's Myspage page and lit symbolic candles (our Avatar pics) to show support for the victims of the flooding. I also posted two threads on Celtic Radio with news up-dates. Is there any chance you could also post a thread and possibly see if other listeners want to change their Avatars to show solidarity and awareness? I am sure that many of the artists featured on Celticradio live in parts of Ireland or the UK affected!
