Police are looking for the owner of a 700-year-old human skull found washed up on Sydney's Northern Beaches. The child's skull was found on September 12 last year at the Basin, north of Mona Vale Beach. Investigators enlisted the help of anthropologists at New Zealand 's University of Waikato, who used radiocarbon dating to conclude the skull was about 700 years old. The experts concluded the skull belonged to a child between four and six years old, who was not Indigenous. Northern Beaches detectives say the skull probably belongs to a private collector, a museum or a research facility. Anyone with inquiries about the skull is urged to call Northern Beaches Police on (02) 9971 3399 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. www.lostandfoundohio.com
