Just me! I play the piano classically (pretty well, but not brilliantly), but my first musical love is the theremin. I started teaching myself to play the theremin in mid 2005, and have since then played in several public events and shows, one of which was for Moog Music - the manufacturer of Moog keyboards and theremins. I play almost exclusively melodic works, ranging from baroque violin music to neo-classical vocal works. I've been playing for less than two years, but feel that I've made pretty good progress since I started all that time ago.
I recently played onstage in duet with Carolina Eyck, and in quartet with Carolina, Lydia Kavina (Leon Theremin's grand niece!) and Barbara Buchholz at 'Hands Off 2007.' In 2008 I performed with pianist Katy Moe at Cafe Delight (the haunt of Pamelia Kurstin and Dorit Chrysler), and later that year played as soloist with the Radio Science Orchestra.

My main influences have been Clara Rockmore and Peter Pringle, but I also greatly admire the works of players Pamelia Kurstin (who I recently saw perform live near where I live), Lydia Kavina and Carolina Eyck. If you wish to contact me with regards recording or performance, or just want a chat then please send me an e-mail or drop me a message.

Hi. My name's Charlie, and I live in SW England. I'm 18 years old, one of Britain's few thereminists (more on that in a moment!), and studying History at the University of Cambridge.

The weird thing that looks like a cross between a hatstand and a radio is my theremin. I've been playing it for three years now, and you should be able to hear me playing it in the background, provided myspace's music player hasn't screwed up again.

========Lessons, Guidance and Online Tuition========
I'm located in SW England, and offer tutorials to improve and develop theremin technique, and can cater for even absolute beginners. If you want to arrange a lesson, just e-mail me or send me a private message. If you can't make it to England, then send me a message anyway - I'm always willing to help out new players . . . I remember vividly what it was like to be swamped by contradictory advice on how to stand, confusing and conflicting techniques from different, well-established players. . . and promise to at least try to help sort out any confusions you're having!

I am sure Léon Theremin would be happy if he were able to listen when you play on the instrument he constructed. I like the sound of this instrument cause its almost human. Or like a human souls singing from the other side of the grave.
