Charlie Zeleny is a professional NYC Session Drummer who is also a Music Director, Bandleader and Producer. He specializes in all styles of music especially Pop, Rock, Jazz, Fusion, Progressive Metal, Hiphop, Funk & R&B.
Charlie Z tours & records playing duo with Jordan Rudess, keyboardist of Dream Theater and has also performed double drums with master drummer Terry Bozzio for The Drum Channel.
Charlie Z has played sold out shows at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall, opening for Bon Jovi at El Coliseo de Puerto Rico and at The International Photography Awards at American Airlines Theater in NYC. He has also played at Z100's Zootopia Concert at The IZOD Arena, The Bowery Ballroom NYC, The Highline Ballroom, Avatar Recording Studios, Cove City Sound Studios, Monster Island Studios, BB Kings Blues & Jazz Club & The Knitting Factory NYC & LA.
Charlie has also toured in 39 US states, 19 Countries and has been featured on over 50 albums. He can be seen and heard on MTV, VH1, XM & Sirius Satellite Radio, Oxygen TV, CBS Morning Show and on Tone Maker DJ Ringtone Creator featuring Method Man and Ceelo from Gnarls Barkley. He has opened for international artists Akon, Bowling for Soup, The Blue Oyster Cult, Between the Buried and Me, Super Furry Animals & Bon Jovi.
In addition to being a session drummer, Charlie is a member of the internationally acclaimed band Blotted Science with Ron Jarzombek of Spastic Ink and Alex Webster of Cannibal Corpse and was also an original member of Behold the Arctopus signed to Metal Blade Records He has also been featured on recordings by female shred guitarist The Great Kat, avant-prog band Kayodot on Hyrdahead Records, epic prog band Suspyre on Sensory Records and avant-world fusion artist Ken Rubenstein's albums.

Hey Charlie Z, we have posted a test mix (a teaser!) of THE ETHEREAL DREAM featuring former HELLOWEEN singer master Michael Kiske. It's not a heavy track.. but there are still some rocking parts with high vocals! Two different versions of this song will appear on our debut. The original is featuring the huge talent of Mike Gorham... while the 'Kiske-version' will be added as a bonus track". About "34613"; we're slowly but surely getting there! A good drummer is able to create a pocket for the rest of the band. It's that place where the music is awesome, it's what makes peoples heads nod and dance. Creating a groove, and subsquential pocket for the rest of the band to work in comes from solid time. It gives the band the confidence in them not having to worry about time issues, and concentrate on what they do. Thank you, Erudite :-)
