In 1996 three London punksters joined forces to form the brilliant pop punk trio Dweeb. Founding member Kris Dweeb brought in his little sister Lara Dweeb ..boards and found John Dweeb dancing strangely at a gig.
A bidding war at the majors soon began and within 5 months of forming they decided to sign to Blanco Y Negro / WEA Records. Their 7th ever gig was opening the NME stage at the Reading festival in 1996. They went on to play again in 1997 and played the last ever phoenix festival.
Adam Ant is a fan and sang 'Beat my Guest' with them at a gig. Milo from the Descendents also performed 'Silly Girl' with them at Reading Festival.
Within a year they transformed from Lo-fi punksters to a sleekly produced pop/rock outfit. Turn you on (LP) was recorded in 1998 with Def Leppard's producer Pete Woodroffe.
In 1999 Dweeb split.
