Chaselounge formed in the fall of 2002 under the guide of the band's frontman, Shawny. The rest of the band includes Adam on drums, Aaron on bass, and Chris on guitar. Together, the group creates a wonderful brand of intelligent pop-rock with the influence of artists like OK Go, Rooney, Weezer, and Jimmy Eat World.
In the summer of 2004, Chaselounge released their long awaited debut album Mayday, Roger the Radio. The album was the 9th most added album to the CMJ National charts when it went into rotation in early February 2005. Mayday sat in the CMJ Top 200 charts for several weeks and continues to spin on college radio stations across the country. Comprised of hook filled, melodic and powerful rock songs, Mayday helped develop a strong following for Chaselounge in the Midwest and beyond.
In October of 2005, the band released its second album, Black Plastic Ordinary on YeaYeaYeah Records. Produced by Erwin Musper (David Bowie, Jeff Beck, Van Halen), BPO is the band's finest work yet. The original Limited Edition album was released as a DVD/CD package including 5.1 DTS surround sound mix, video and other features.
Chaselounge toured extensivley in 2005 and 2006, playing over 100 shows across the country. BPO did well on the CMJ charts and helped the band achieve even more national attention. The band also performed at several big Cincinnati events like The WEBN Fireworks, Tall Stacks, and the 2006 Midpoint Music Festival.
In 2008, the band rejoined with Musper to begin work on their 3rd full length album. The result: 14 tracks that have the band wandering into new and familiar territories. In early 2010, it will be blasting out of speakers...everywhere...
