Rocking out of Ottawa, Canada, Chasing Curiosity has been making waves with their fusion of Hard Rock, Alternative and Post-Punk to create a sound that is guitar-driven and melodic, yet still maintains its basis of Mainstream. The band is the brainchild of Lead Vocalist and Guitarist Ian Nichols and of Guitarist and Backup Vocalist Raelyn Dent. “We just want to create good music” says Nichols, “It’s about writing songs that not only we enjoy but also for those who come out to the shows” ads Dent. Rockin out on bass is Matt Finlay and the riviting heart pounding drums is being brought to you by Kenny Saunders. The band released their debut EP “Saved” in January of 2008 and it is now having success in HMV, Chapters, and Indigo locations across Canada as well as online with it being available on iTunes. The band’s songs have been given a spotlight on Ottawa Radio Station Chez 106, and iRock109 Internet Radio as well. The songs have been labeled as “catchy, well written and tight” by Jen Bagnall (a reviewer on Supernova.com). On top of writing killer songs, Chasing Curiosity has a live show that is exciting, entertaining and unparalleled in the city of Ottawa. “The Band came on and rocked the house…they were tight and in your face” says Upfront Magazine, a magazine that revolves around the music scene in Ottawa. Chasing Curiosity maintains ties with fans online through their Myspace (www.myspace.com/chasingcuriosity) which receives about 100 hits a day, and has been viewed over 50 000 times. The band is always playing shows, and has recently shared the stage with such acts as ill Scarlett, One Second 2 Late, The Love Machine, and The Prefect. Chasing Curiosity has been labeled as “a band with tremendous upside” (Upfront Magazine), and many “are prepared to see great things in the future from Chasing Curiosity” (Jen Bagnall).

It's been going alright, and yeah TVFP just broke up so im trying to get my own solo shit started. So far i've only recorded some demo acoustic stuff with my laptop but in the near future i hope to get some good recorded songs and a few shows. Hows your band doing by the way? Cheers, JK
