doing/talking about ART/DESIGN/DRAWING etc. but anything creative is good, having a stimulating CONVERSATION is great. whether it's about something "serious" or something ridiculous, it's all good. I enjoy observing and exploring the little things in life, cause that's what really matters. relishing that great piece of cake you had the other day, why a 22 oz. "pound cake" is ironic. going thru daily life and trying to find the little pieces of fun that makes one smile, laughing at oneself and each other, all that stuff is good. Besides drawing, LAUGHING/making someone smile/laugh is my crack. I enjoy SPORTS but don't have much time to do it as much anymore. tennis, volleyball, rollerblading are fun...i guess I'd include laughing a sport too, my stomach gets quite a workout, heh. I also really love words/wordplay and WRITING, and writing stupid silliness...and answering questions, with stupid silly answers. Ironically, I'm not that big on reading books- go figure. maybe go figure 8 too, if you are so inclined. you decline? well at least I got that to rhyme. hah! did it again. wow. yeah, me are retarded, heh.
foods!--love cake! pastries, baked goods, carboyummyates! french fries and other potato-tasticness, barbeque stuff, buffets, crabcake, chocolate/dark chocolate, chocolate covered pretzels, pretzels, sour dough pretzels, croutans, cherry coke, steak, bourbon chicken (but only when it's cooked just right), poptarts, muffins, spices
It's "Itchy & Scratchy meets Samurai Jack meets Family Guy meets Calvin & Hobbes meets Kill Bill meets Kung Pow meets Ren and Stimpy"
It reads more like a comic strip with a gags/or excessive violence/disturbingness every page that you don't necessarily have to read in order...but at the same time there's an underlying story and layered stuff that if you do read in order or read again carefully, it will hopefully be entertaining as well. Mostly it's a fun wild silly ride. give it a try...for the sake of the children! heh.
I just updated the look a bit so it's a bit more user friendly and you can see when I update pages easier.

*PART 5: LEGEND OF LIQUID FURY: "Will of the river"*
It's controlled insanity, an experimental kickass action graphic novel. written by co-creator and fellow studiomate, Kurt Christenson. We're putting the whole thing on our Ten Ton studios website HERE!
SYNOPSIS: Wulong, a young student of the lost kung fu style, LIQUID FURY, returns to his childhood home only to find it has been destroyed by the oppressive United Corp. and its superhuman assassins. Vowing revenge for the destruction of his home, Wulong sets out to find those responsible and make them pay...
Kurt and I have been working on this book for 4 years and it's been a labor of love for both of us. All 174 pages of the art are now finished (I finished it in Dec 2005). Kurt is currently lettering the book with our new font developed by Richard Starking's Comicraft based off of my handwriting.
here's a very cool quote from writer Joe Kelly after reading our preview book of Liquid Fury:
"Liquid Fury is a mind-bending blend of martial arts mythos and groundbreaking visual storytelling. The little Big Bang signaling a new direction in esthetic and sequential art. It is a remarkable freshman effort by Chris and Kurt, who have effectively thrown down the gauntlet to other creators with their ambitious vision."
-Joe Kelly(writer of: X-men, Steampunk, Superman, cartoon network's "Ben 10" (co-creator) and many more

I'm very dedicated to achieving my art goal/dream.
My priorities in life right now is to 1st focus all my energies/most of my time on attaining my goals in my career, giving it my all while I'm still young enough and can, try to get things established and then hopefully all the other pieces will fall into place and be better off for it. so yeah, I draw a lot and think about art a lot and spend a lot of time trying to improve and learn new things.
I've been pursuing my 1st love-illustrating comicbooks for most of my life and have recently(in 2006) decided to shift my focus more on doing illustrations and caricatures which I've always loved as well. I still love doing comics and will continue to do it, but I'm pursuing caricatures more aggressively at the moment. We'll see how that turns out. oh and if anyone wants to commission me for caricatures let me know :)
I'd like to think I'm a pretty nice and friendly person, I really try to be as those types of people make me feel good and I hope to return that great feeling back to others. Once you get to know me/I get to know you, I tend to open up more and goof around a lot and goof on people but it's all in good fun. If you're not having fun with it, then you probably won't see that side of me...unless you REALLY suck, then maybe i'll keep goofing on ya, heh ;). I'm pretty quiet sometimes and sometimes you can't shut me up. I REALLY don't want to be the annoying guy, so I can tend to be pretty quiet/shy at first, observing things until I figure out how much of me you can take/ I get a sign that you're cool with me/me being more me...and then I slowly open up and can get real chatty and silly. I work better the smaller the group and really enjoy one-on-one conversations or just smaller group conversations, y'know, cause sometimes you'll be in a deep strong opinioned discussion on something and it's good to have a tie breaker...y'know, to prove that I'm right, ;) heh. nah, I'm pretty open-minded and like a good strong opinioned disussion. I keep it friendly and civil.
I'm VERY interested in people and finding out what makes each person tick. It fascinates me. questions rock! I like asking questions. I'm not as much into the whole party/bar scene, smoke(booo)-filled crowded spaces, having to shout to talk to the person next to me so they can hear me. what? I said, "hear me", BUT I can still go with the flow at times. I don't take myself too seriously and am usually pretty happy-go-lucky, but I do have a serious side and will stand up for what I believe in as well as protect my friends and family fiercely.
I get along with pretty much everyone/lots of different types of people. if you are arrogant/cocky, disrespectful, dishonest, rude then I will not like you. If you are fake, are easily swayed by peer pressure, are afraid to have a certain opinion because it's not "cool", are judgemental, can't think outside the box at times, then we might not get along. be proud of the things you like and don't like(movies, music etc.) regardless of what anyone says.
not sure how all the above comes across...probably better to just get to know me and form your own opinoins or maybe ask people that know me, usually you can get some good insights by talking with those people...although there's only a few people that REALLY get me.
...there's 3 sides to every story: 1 side, the other side, and the truth. I just thought that's a cool saying I heard, there's not much drama in my life for it though, heh.
oh and if you have a question, ask me, if you ask someone else and they don't have their facts straight/came up with thier own wrong impressions and that's your answer you're going with then it's not my fault that you missed out on going straight to the actual source, just sitting right in front of you.
controlled chaos.
Who I'd like to meet: friendly happy people, good sense of humor! yay for sillyville!, artists/writers/caricaturists/creative types--networking. those that enjoy discussing art/can appreciate it. I like using slash marks /! yay!, people that can take a joke/ribbing and dish it right back, people who smile a lot/ laugh, are respectful, have good hearts, people whoe care, are kind, are hardworking, are trust-worthy, are loyal, have morals, are curious, people with goals/dedication/passionate about SOMETHING. people that like my art OR hate it.
people who can give me HONEST opinions on my art (or anything in general actually) and whether you "know" art or not, it doesn't matter, ALL feedback/opinions are good as long as it's honest. I like hearing different opinions and viewpoints. except for yours, you suck. ha, just kidding. bring it! I like when people can call me out when I'm dumb, screw up, my joke sucked etc.
ANYHOO, blah blah blah, I know, heh...pretty much cool down-to-earth good-hearted people will do, heh :)
oh and anyone that I've drawn a caricature of at Dorney Park,PA, Great Wolf Lodge, Poconos, PA or anyone I drew a commission convention sketch, it'd be cool to hear from ya! and anyone one that is a friend of our Ten Ton Studios.
*note--myspace people with fronts to try and get me to your crappy "sexy"(not) webcam sites or your crappy scam ideas or whatever please don't bother wasting my time. seriously, who gets suckered into that crap? I don't always have time to check all friend requests thoroughly but once I find out, you'll be deleted as I'm shaking my head at you. and no bands too.*
*I'm not gonna litter your comment box with shameless plugage spam so please don't do that to mine, unless you want me to delete you. seriously, I will delete you. but mindless rambling and nonsense fun comments are always welcomed, heh :) thanks!*

Chua hi! I sent you a MS friend request and you accepted it, thank you!! I have one question about Art. I've been drawing portraits for 6 years now from photographs and live as well. I practice every single day for about an hour. When I draw from photos it comes out looking good, but when live it comes out not so good. Why is that? I practice so hard.. Thanks for reading, maybe you could help.
A well-known scientist (some say it was Bertrand Russell) once gave a public lecture on astronomy. He described how the earth orbits around the sun and how the sun, in turn, orbits around the center of a vast collection of stars called our galaxy. At the end of the lecture, a little old lady at the back of the room got up and said: "What you have told us is rubbish. The world is really a flat plate supported on the back of a giant tortoise." The scientist gave a superior smile before replying, "What is the tortoise standing on?" "You're very clever, young man, very clever," said the old lady. "But it's turtles all the way down!"
