Born in Rochester, New York and raised in Bath, Maine, Chris Enright has had a passion for music all of his life. After receiving considerable scholarships from Berklee College of Music's World Scholarship Tour, and Berklee's Entering Student Talent Scholarship, Chris left Bath and made his way to Boston where earned his bachelors degree in piano performance and jazz composition, graduating cum laude. During enrollment, Chris' musical skills were developed with the help of Berklee's exceptional faculty, including Danilo Perez, Joanne Brackeen, Hal Crook, Tiger Okoshi, Joe Lovano, and George Garzone. He also traveled and performed with Phil Wilson's Rainbow Band and Rainbow All-Stars. Both groups have appeared at the "Vineyard Vibes Jazz Festival" in Martha's Vineyard, as well as the "International Association of Jazz Educators Conference" in Long Beach, California. Outside of Berklee, Chris played piano and composed for a trombone ensemble called "Against The Grain." After forming, the group won and performed at the "Eastern Trombone Workshop" held in Washington DC, won and performed at the "International Trombone Festival" held in New Orleans, released a self-titled CD, and appeared in the July, 2004 issue of "JAZZIZ" magazine.

I am teaching an improv ensemble starting monday - I want to kick it off with a demonstration jam by a few of the teachers. If you are there on monday - you should def play.

A big thanks to all my friends... I just went over 10,000 listens on my player. I've added a fifth tune to my player, an arrangement of Scott Henderson's "Harpoon", the leader and guitar player of Tribal Tech.
