_ Christopher M. Listorti strums and sings refreshingly tongue in cheek, aesthetically pleasing song-writing. Laced with haunting melodies, engaging vocal harmonies, It's for anybody who looking for friendly folk. _
_ When you listen to "Words That Suture Wounded Hearts" His honesty brings you to smile, sinking deep into dark & heavy seas only with an over all positive energy. It's prolific & honest, and made through love. Fans of "Crosby Stills Nash & Young", "Elliott Smith" or "Death Cab For Cutie" will enjoy this new sound. It's an entity of its own. Listen and enjoy your catharsis! _

_ Christoper M. Listorti, Words that Suture Wounded Hearts (www.chrislistorti.com). On the surface, Listorti comes off as a proficient version of one of those indie-folk guys — an acoustic guitarist/pianist with a pleasant tenor (with a quaver in there) and a batch of songs that match Americana-ish chord progressions to literary lyrics.
_ Going deeper, it's clear that not only is his playing deceptively complex, but his arrangements — which frequently bloom into a full-band sound are about as rooted in a classic pop-rock form as they are in the more contemporary wistful-guy- with-a-guitar idiom.
_ Lyrically, these 12 songs address love, spirituality and life's purpose. There's just enough doubt and bittersweetness to pull them back from the edge of sentimentality. It's a pretty, polished, nuanced effort, and it stands out in an increasingly crowded musical sub genre.

_ I’ve listened to this CD a couple of times, and now I am ready to swim to the surface of the dark wave of keys, strings, harmonies, and blunt lyrics that has washed into my home.
_ The vocals, starting with Listorti’s strong lead and moving on to the mystic, haunting harmonies, are gorgeous. Imagine The Association or the experimental Beach Boys era, except add a sense of foreboding. This is not a cheerful sound. It’s gothic, which gives the first few folk/gospel-sounding ballads a particularly ominous feel. You’ve got a perfect album for folks who find Elliott Smith a little too upbeat.
_ He picks up the pace on “Lifetime of Temporary Relief,” a full-throttle piece of orchestral, mystical rock music that is easily the standout of this collection. He keeps this vibe going into the title track, which even allows some vocally whimsical “ba-ba-ba-ba’s.” Despite the darkness, there is some fun in here.
