A new chris staples full-length solo record will be available in January 2010. The album is entittled Badlands after the classic 1973 film of the same name featuring martin sheen. Badlands is primarily an acoustic record recorded on 4-track and 8-track tape machines, recorded in seattle and chris's home town of ft. walton beach florida. A limited number of handmade copies will be available at shows, and the album will also be available on itunes in january. 12 songs.

Blackest Hair, Bluest Eyes is the debut album from Chris Staples. There are currently no hard copies available. Hard copies will likely never be available. But they will always be available digitally from the freindly folks over at itunes.

When I occasionally put my ipod on shuffle I usually end up skipping a large number of songs. You sir, have never been skipped. I'm looking forward to a new release when you get around to it. Take your time. Good music needs time.

Last weekend somebody broke into my car and stole all my CDs. One of the discs had two songs from Donkey and Deer! "You Should be Living" and "God Send a Bomb" were the titles. I had downloaded them when I was in highschool. Do those songs still exist, in any form?
