She totes a tiny MacBook and massive talent, destined to vivify Canada's electropop music scene; Christer has arrived! The Vancouver-based laptop princess is humble, describing her songs as uncomplicated and accessible, which were originally laid down in a one-room music studio and sampled from basic beat software. At the beginning of 2008 Christer took her laptop and stormed Vertical Studios with producer Tom Dobrzanski (Hey Ocean!, Said The Whale). Their combined talent layered the beats and elevated Christer’s vocals in all the right places, giving birth to Techna, an imaginative album of deeply addictive dance hits.
Techna review in The Reflector (02/11/09) "If you are a techno freak or just like to dance around your living room to some kickin’ beats, Techna is your kind of album."
Techna review in Vue Weekly (02/05/09) "Her ability as an electronic artist to inhabit so many soundscapes is admirable, and when she’s working in the quieter regions of electro she really nails it."
Techna review in The Spill magazine "Mixing equal parts ambient, trip hop and synth rock, Christer’s Techna spans several electronic genres but at the heart of it all, contains tunes fit for the dance floors."
