.. .. CHRISTINA LINHARDT Soprano Christina Linhardt has enjoyed an eclectic and versatile career as a concert singer, cross-over artist, actress and dancer, working steadily throughout Southern California and Germany. She is most known for her "Classics to Cabaret" musical act which she performed as the headliner for the opening of the Grand Concert Hall Parksalle in Saxony, Germany, as well as the re-opening of the Palace Ligner, Dresden. In Los Angeles, she is the official national anthem singer for the German Consulate, and represents Berlin every year at the Los Angeles Sister Cities Festival. She also performed her solo cabaret act for the 20 year celebration of the collapse of the Berlin Wall at the legendary House of Blues Gospel Brunch. For the 2010 Los Angeles Opera Ring Festival, Ms. Linhardt was contracted for two concerts premiering several new musical compositions written for her. In the same year she became a recommended chanteuse for the coveted Southern California Chamber Music Consortium. Ms. Linhardt has introduced classical singing to the World Famous Hollywood Magic Castle where she has performed Puccini and Lehar in conjunction with magic and variety acts. Furthering this new collaboration, she experienced the distinct privilege of traveling down to Guantanamo Bay , Cuba with the VampHear Circus to sing for the soldiers and families stationed there. She has also given numerous new music concerts in conjunction with Cirque Du Soleil performers. Ms. Linhardt had the honor to perform solo for Cardinal Mahony during the first Christmas season of the new Los Angeles Cathedral, as the Guilded Golden Angel Soprano. The Singing Golden Angel act has continued on to become a favorite at corporate parties. Her independently produced solo album, "Circus Sanctuary", has "passed" into the Adult Contemporary commercial radio scene, her rendition of Schubert's "Ave Maria" on the album receiving considerable radio attention and airplay during the holiday seasons. Her new solo cd "Voodoo Princess", which features a high powered version of Schubert's "Erlkoenig" is also making waves internationally. She was the soprano soloist on two of the Angel's of Venice cds; "Sanctus" and "Ancient Delerium". As an actress Ms. Linhardt starred on stage opposite Academy Award Winner Maximilian Schell in "Faust Comes to Grand Avenue" in conjunction with the LA Opera and Max Kade Institute, USC. Ms. Linhardt received her Bachelors in Music / Vocal Arts from USC, studied theatre at Oxford University in England, and dance in Senegal and Zimbabwe. She currently performs ethnic dances professionally with the Gypsy Folk Ensemble. Her performance in the title role of Open Gates "Pinocchio" is an ongoing favorite, especially among younger audiences (turning away literally hundreds at the Electric Lodge in Venice, CA) ........Christina Linhardt began her career in music as a child flute player sitting as first flute in the Jr. Philharmonic of California, the All-Southern-California-Honor-Band, and as principal flute for the Meremblum California Jr. Symphony. She also has a prolific career as a variety entertainer specializing in clown and miming (she is a proud member of the Fooles Guilde). ........ Ms. Linhardt stepped off the stage and into the role of producer, winning the LA Weekly Production of the Year award as Associate Producer for the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble's "The Greeks". (Other producing credits at the Odyssey include the LA Premiere of Mark Medoff's "Gila", "Good Woman of Szechuan" and "Brecht on Brecht") ........As well as performing, education is a prime focus for Christina. She gave voice lessons to Grammy Award Winner Dawn Robinson of En Vogue, is a trained theater therapist for the Imagination Workshop, a program that works with psychiatric patients and the criminally insane, focusing on healing through creativity and play, and has worked with At-Risk youth in Juvenile lockup facilities and for East Los Angeles Classic Theatre.
