   About Christus & The Cosmonaughts
Bang bang bang. Somewhere a gun went off and a switch was thrown and the lights blinked on in my brain. A body fell to the ground and my imagination was carried away. As far away as it could get. So began my quest for unreality. It was galvanized the night I saw a skinny English kid crooning in an unearthly voice on a black and white television set. He was surrounded by machinery. Bathed in the glow of blinking LEDs and unfamiliar sounds, that pasty fellow sang of electric friends and alien prayers. I bought my first synthesizer a few weeks later (a Moog Rogue, if you must know). I was comforted by its percolating pulse waves and searing sawtooth siren song. It cried out in a voice the likes of which I had never before heard, even if it was never quite in tune. It was a quarter of a century ago. Now I myself am surrounded by machinery. I am still soothed by percolating pulse waves, sinuous sequences, alien landscapes and The World of Tomorrow. A massive modular synthesizer system towers over a collection of new and vintage equipment designed to generate other-worldly timbres. It is my desire to create a world as far away as I can take it. I do so with the help of a guitarist I have never actually met. It is somewhat fitting that we try to create far away places when the band members themselves remain so far away from one another. We hope you will join us when we get to wherever it is we are going. For our part, we have chosen to take the scenic route. It is very colorful, indeed.

Warm Greetings from Greece :)
Thank you for the acceptance.

First of all congratulations for the band name. Actually it remind me some paintings from the Renaissance, which shows on the background, Ufos. Also the piece, Nod if you where the last, it is exactly the sound picture, that i mean :)

Beautiful collection of synths (OBs, VCS3 the favorite by early Brian Eno recordings, PPG, Prophet) great!!! I hope someday to be blessed to put my hand over some of those unique instruments.

Best wishes for health and happiness,

Nikolas

Ah you're too kind! I'm pretty much recording out of a shoebox at the moment, but I'll hopefully get some cash together for some bigger and better equipment and then hell, the world is my oyster! Serious though keep it up because you've just rocketed yourself right up there with my most envied Myspace artists!

Thanatoloop - "La noche me escupió el rostro"

A strange, emotive and very unique live recording of Thanatoloop, who is also part of Un Festín Sagital. This songs came from two shows, one is the funerART drone/doom fest, and the other the electro/acoustic Retrofuturistic fest. Close to what? Simon Finn, Fad Gadget, Current 93, Edward Ka-Spel, the more toxic Violeta Parra, Alvarius B, Nick Cave, TG, Residents, Coil, Electrodomesticos (early), Leonard Cohen, etc... dark, but not without humour and groooove.

download or just listen

Edition:A painted -with chinese paint- Cd-r in a printed envelope

Some of the wildest bands of this times, like a satanic Velvet Underground breaking your nerves with agressive mantras, and violent voices and noises above a solid rythmic base. One of the most powerful, intense and dark rock bands of this last years. Highly Recommended.
