Thompsons streak of producing top-selling hits began around 1994 when he produced One More Chance and Big Poppa for the late Notorious B.I.G. He also produced the Grammy-nominated album My Life for Mary J. Blige. Thompson has also produced hits for some of todays hottest stars, including Faith Evans "Soon as I get Home", Nas "One Mic", Jennifer Lopez "Feeling so Good Feat. Big Pun and Fat Joe, Shyne feat Barington Levy "Bonnie and Shyne" and P. Diddy. Mase, Busta Rhymes, among others. A decade after first making his mark, Thompson is still at the top of his game. Not only is he still producing number one hits for such artists as Jive Records own Raheem DeVaughn "Woman", he now has his own Record company, Black Diamond Records, and is dedicated to working with up-and-coming talent. Says Thompson, My goal is to bridge the gap between music genders and creeds. Music is the vehicle that brings us all together. As long as we have Chucky Thompson in the drivers seat, we can look forward to more great music down the road.
Diddy Blog &035;37: A Message To The DJ
you are 1 of the best damn producers/ composers we have in the game... i know this because I pay attention to music. It wouldn't be no queen of hip-hop & R&B or Biggie the legend if it wasn't for the Chuck soup. just know you are on my best producers list. i know they'll try and play the underground legends down bro! 1 love!
I'm truly grateful for the add and just want to say much appreciated. When I first heard Big Poppa when it was out, I'd thought through high school that he was saying cloud of funk in the chrous. Well, indeed he was in his previous albums especially his second. Man, I'm hating that MJB isn't on a album because the sample on that makes it too soulful and fresh. That's something to put in the tape deck or CD player. I overstayed my welcome but just coming through again to say thanks.
