The Cooper, Hay, Van Lente Group (CHV), the West Michigan based jazz trio, has been captivating audiences throughout the state with their unique sound and lively renditions of jazz standards and original compositions. Their latest CD release Trio Musik has hit the airwaves and is making quite an impression. CHV features Jim Cooper on vibes and marimba, Dave Hay on piano, organ and keyboard bass and Mike Van Lente on drums and percussion. The trio has performed many engagements in Michigan including Cliff Bells in Detroit, Saugatuck Center for the Arts, Sutton’s Bay Jazz Festival, and the Thornapple Jazz Festival, The Lansing Jazz Festival, the Saugatuck/Douglas Jazz Festival.
