Kenny Inglis and Susan Wallace are Cinephile. Formed in 2002 with the focus firmly on their own sonic manifesto, Cinephile's unique sound has attracted an army of fans around the globe. This is music for the ears, the eyes, and the mind....
Progressing early on from the studio to the stage, their dynamic live performances gained them a solid reputation on the gig circuit, which included a number of headline slots at venues and clubs up and down the country.
It wasn't long before the heavy cinematic slant to their sound caught the attention of the world of film and television. From small credits in the UK to more recent high profile syncs such as "Six Feet Under" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation", this band are also causing a scene on celluloid.
Firmly left of field and never afraid to experiment, their collaboration with renowned British actor Christopher Cazenove (Dynasty, A Knight's Tale, My Fair Lady), on the narrative track "Cinephile" is the icing on the cake, showing another side to their ever evolving sound.
In the true spirit of DIY music culture, Cinephile have released an EP, a single and a sampler album through their own Antimatter label. Further releases are planned for the future.
2007 saw a return to the live circuit, with a number of high profile appearances during the summer festivals. What's in store for Cinephile in 2008 ? Keep your ears, and your eyes open....
