Singer/Songwriter vs. Electro Experimentation = Classics
Classics is the musical moniker for LA based guitarist/producer/songwriter Douglas Charles Showalter and Swedish singer/songwriter Elsa Gernandt. The style of Classics music brings together the singer/songwriter influences of John Mayer and Iron and Wine with the electronic/experimental sounds of Portishead and Zero 7. The music features a variety of LA based artists, producers, and studio musicians. The live set up of Classics varies from acoustic duo to live band to solo performances, along with a revolving door of guest musicians and collaborators.
Classics first release 1 in 4 is out now via indie label Blue Living Room Entertainment.
