cmm w. rott was founded in 1989 as an indidvidual enterprise by wolfgang rott. the company fastly excelled to the number one Independent-Rock-Promotion in germany. Allready the first band was a huge success: The germany band AXXIS sold over 100.000 copies of their debut album.

In 1996 wolfgang rott founded the cmm consulting and media Ltd. cmm..s promotion became a trademark all over europe. A full servie promotion office, which clients bemong to all major record companies EMI, Warner, Sony, BMG and Universal and a large number of Independent-Companies were among them. Amongst other reasons the Progressive-Label IndsideOut Music was strongly involved in the rocketing uprise of cmm.

The list of the supervised artists starts with AC/DC and continues to Black Sabbath over Eric Clapton, Cher, Dio, Fu Man Chu, Peter Gabriel, Iron Maiden, Killing Joke, Led Zeppellin, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Scorpions all the way to Van Halen, Whitesnake and ZZ Top.

It..s not only the big names that shape our picture. Countless Newcomer and Indie-Bands where brought to the fans by the Media.

In August 2004 the GmbH fell into bankruptcy because of bad debt loss. Then, Wolfgang Rott concentrated on his individual enterprise which carried on the tradition with a new team. In March 2008 the individual enterprise merged into the new founded cmm – communication, management, marketing GmbH. This is among other things a joint venture with the ICS GmbH, which is well known as the organiser of the Wacken Open Air, the Metal Battle and a lot more activities in the rock and metal sector.

As a promotion agency with more than 25 years of experience within the music business, we have access to an extensive network of artists and managements. Besides our contacts within the whole media landscape as well as to tour managers and festivals, we are also engaged in band management. As far as promotion is concerned, we can draw from a network of contacts which has grown steadily over the years.

Bereits der erste Act war ein Volltreffer: Die deutsche Band AXXIS verkaufte von ihrem Debüt über 100.000 Alben.

1996 gründete Wolfgang Rott die cmm consulting and media GmbH. Die Promotion von cmm wurde zum Markenzeichen in Europa. Ein Full-Service-Promotion-Büro, zu dessen Kunden nahezu alle großen Plattenfirmen (EMI, Warner, Sony, BMG und Universal), aber auch viele Independent-Companies gehörten. Unter anderem war der steile Aufstieg des Progressive-Labels InsideOut Music eng mit cmm verbunden.

Wolfgang Rott konzentrierte sich dann auf sein Einzelunternehmen, das die Tradition mit einem neuen Team weiterführte. Im März 2008 ging das Einzelunternehmen in die neugegründete cmm - communication, managament und marketing GmbH auf. Dies ist u. a. auch ein Joint Venture mit der ICS GmbH, die als Veranstalter des Wacken Open Air, des Metal Battle und vielen anderen Aktivitäten im Rock- und Metalbereich bekannt sind.

Als Promotionagentur mit über 25 Jahren Erfahrung im Musikbusiness können wir auf ein umfassendes Netzwerk aus Künstlern und Managements zurückgreifen. Neben umfangreichen Kontakten in der gesamten Medienlandschaft sowie zu Tourveranstaltern und Festivals zählt auch das Band-Management zu unseren Aufgaben. In der Promotion verfügen wir über ein jahrelang gewachsenes und gepflegtes Kontaktnetzwerk.
