The band quickly made a name for themselves touring extensively on the Manchester pub and club circuit playing their own brand of original rocking blues with the odd reference to folk rock. Whilst the years passed and line ups changed, the band have always retained a very clear musical identity and focus which has earned them enviable respect as a performing and recording band . Not surprisingly Cold Flame continue to be a highly popular live act in big demand playing both indoor and outdoor events as well as private functions mainly in the north of England and The Midlands. Additionally the band's studio and live albums continue to sell both in the UK and in mainland Europe.Cold Flame play both original rock/blues and folk rock music. Much of the live stuff is either quality original material or covers reflecting the key musical influences shared by band members. When the mood takes them expect to hear lengthy Hendrix, Free, Cream,Tull and Zeppelin medleys demonstrating the band's quality. Other rock covers material performed by the band includes crowd pleasers from the likes of Whitesnake, Rory Gallagher, Lynryd Skynryd, Bad Company, The Kinks and Fleetwood Mac. Cold Flame have collectively recorded fifteen albums of original music to date including studio, live and solo albums - most of which include band contributions - a live album of original and rock covers material and a live double album of a Jethro Tull tribute show performed by Cold Flame back in 2003. A new limited edition acoustic cd was released in December 2009 representing some of the songs performed in the band's current acoustic set.This will preview a full scale acoustic album scheduled for 2010.There are also plans to release a new studio electric album during the next few months. .... Cold Flame original music and the covers material played live has been influenced heavily by the classic rock and blues boom that began in the mid/late 1960's and extended through the 70's both in Britain, Europe and the U.S- music played with real passion and feel -whilst the list is endless it is perhaps appropriate to highlight Cream,Hendrix,Jethro Tull, Free and Led Zeppelin as bands who have particularly influenced the song writing of band members and over the years moulded and influenced each and every member within the CF family..... .. TOURING: .. Cold Flame have extensive experience of playing live music both as a headlining act and supporting big name touring bands in a variety of music settings.The band play throughout England and occasionally in Europe both as an original classic rock/blues act and as the North of England's and Midland's premier Jethro Tull tribute act. They have played many music festivals and biker rallies in England but are equally at home in the more intimate atmosphere of the many regional public houses still promoting live music. Truly a band for all occasions. Since the band's formation, the members of Cold Flame have both individually and collectively featured and been responsible for major charity fundraisers throughout the Midlands and the North of England working alongside some of the top music promoters in the U.K. These opportunities have given the band added experience in playing many larger halls, hotels and concert arenas. More recently Cold Flame have formed an acoustic splinter act which plays locally in and around the Manchester area as well as in Europe and can be booked for private and public functions again by checking out the band website. Cold Flame's renowned Jethro Tull tribute show which has been successfully performed both throughout the UK and in Europe over the last ten years, is a two hour plus performance of classic Jethro Tull electric and acoustic material spanning the decades from the groundbreaking bluesy first album 'This Was' released in 1968 right through to material from recent Tull releases of the last decade.
