Cold Snap is a groove metal band from Varaždin, formed in 2003. It has been present on the music scene since 2005. Cold Snap has five members: Jan Kerekes, Leo Friscic, Nino Friscic, Denis Roskaric and Zoran Ernoic. In December 2005 we released a promo CD «Mea Culpa», containing 6 tracks. Till today we have had more than 50 gigs all over Croatia, Germany, Slovenia ( which are performance at Metal Camp in Tolmin in 2006. and 2008.) and EX-Yu Metal Battle in Beograd, Serbia, where we represented Croatia and got into top 5 bands of former Yugoslavia. In August 2007 we recorded our first professional CD album, and in March 2008 we signed with «Dancing Bear» record label, which released our CD «Empty Promises». From album „Empty Promises“ we filmed videos for four songs ( Insurrection, Nikada, Bury the hatchet, The structure of moshpit ), and videos are played on all croatian TV stations, and some of the videos are played on MTV Adria. Till today we were support for some famous bands like Limp Bizkit, Soulfly and Disturbed. In 2009. we won the music award „Zlatna koogla“ ( Gold globe ) in category „Best new performer“, video for song „Nikada“ was in finals of festival „Dani hrvatskog filma“ ( Days of croatian movie), and we were nominee for international award „Indexi 2009.“ In category „Best new metal album“. We are also organizors of festival „Help Fest“ which we organize iz Varaždin every year. Right now we are practising for recording of our second professional album, which will come out at the beginning of 2010. And the story goes on…
