Bunch more Comus live links there - five of the six original players are there. The flute player was replaced by the violinist/singer's husband for this gig a few months ago.
Figured you might be into it, being fellow Comus fans!
Hi Comus, Thankyou immensly for the add. I am come late to your great folk music. Hoping to discover more. This is pleasureably great stuff here. Always knew the best English folk happened during the explosion of 60's/70's. The new folk revivalist would agree. Best Wishes from Idaho. William Sykes
Thanks for the add: you're in my "Top Friends" al last! In my opinion First Utterance was a milestone Lp (...folk? rock? prog? acid? psych?: no labels for it!). What a marvellous & inspiring recording! Highly original and innovative (I also like To Keep From Crying, but it's from another time another place...) - Greetings from Venice, Italy
Hi. Thanks for the add! An amazing band! First album has it's dark moments while the second is a mixture. Unusual but brilliantly talented. Thanks again! PEACE!
Do you know if Roger Wooten ever made any other music post-comus, or any similar bands? because man I listen to First Utterance constantly, and I just can't seem to fill the void in me for more comus related material or at least something with a somewhat similar sound. I think this was utter genious, we need more creative bands these days
sitting here listening to "song to comus"... playing first utterance for some of the guys in my band the happy gang (www.myspace.com/thehappygang)... it really is a coming together of a handful of beautiful minds!
