CONFIG.SyS 1996 wurde Config.sys von Martin (Kirk) Killmann und Sebastian (Krabbe ) Hüttl gegründet. Die erste CD „Tri-SINgular“ wurde eingespielt und als CD..R vertrieben. Weitere CD..Rs wurden veröffentlicht, von denen einige Stücke auch in Clubs gespielt wurden. 2001 kam Stefan zur Band was die Musik stark beeinflusste. Ende 2001 begannen die ersten Auftritte. Mitte 2002 verließ Kirk die Band und Config.sys bildete ab da wieder ein Duo. Musikalisch ist Config.sys im Industrial- & Noise- Sektor anzusiedeln, allerdings werden die gängigen Konventionen gebrochen und Brücken zu House, EBM, Mininmal und anderen Musikrichtungen geschlagen.


CONFIG.SyS was founded in 1996 by Martin (Kirk) Killmann and Sebastian (Krabbe) Hüttl. The first album “Tri-SINgular” was recorded and self-published on CD-R. Follow-up releases, also produced on CD-R, got their first recognition with rotation in clubs across Europe. 2001 Stefan joined the project strongly influencing the sound of CONFIG.SyS. Last quarter of 2001 the first live-gigs started. Mid of 2002 Kirk left the band. CONFIG.SyS have their roots in the Industrial- & Noise sector – however, breaking with clichés and bridging gaps to House, EBM, Minimal and other styles is what makes it special.
