With many live performances in support of the new album, "Cobra Of The North", 2007 has already turned out to be quite an eventful year. Starting in the Hollywood and Greater Los Angeles areas, Contribution X rocked shows with Beretta-9 of Killarmy, 2-Mex, Leggezine Fin, DJ Gloss, 8th Platoon, Humble, and others. These performances, plus relentless in-stores and guest appearances where Contra would share the stage with Killah Priest, Prodigal Sun, Black Knights, 8th Platoon, Rasul Allah, Bomshot, Holocaust, and others led to successful and groundbreaking performances overseas in Istanbul & Ankara, Turkey, where Contra would perform along side Turkey’s own rhyme masters Sagopa Kajmer & Kolera as well as Americas own mic smashers Jedi Mind Tricks.
Contribution X is now back home with more shows scheduled In the Long Beach and Los Angeles areas. He is pleased to announce that his new project with Sagopa Kajmer will be coming out in mid 2008. When asked about the project he had the following to say:
"While in Turkey, Sagopa & Kolera shared with me their ideas on music and how they felt it should be done. One day Sago told me, "The paper is so clean, you see, so the lyrics have to be clean too. Don’t waste the paper." He then gave me 24 beats to do my next album. This hit me hard you see, cause his skills on the beats are out of control. I was very honored to rock these beats."
"This new album coming your way, is not just for me or you, it is for us, for everyone. It’s a personal experience that I hope you will enjoy & understand." Contra explains.
Now with many projects in the works, Contribution X is busier than ever. Working strenuously to bring raw underground hip-hop to the listener. He is non-stop after a successful promotional tour for His second album, "Dark Destiny".
It seems like one thing leads to the next with Contribution X and his newest release, "Cobra Of The North", proves it.
