Cookies N Beans are three Swedish girls with music in their hearts.
Charlotte Centervall, Linda Ström and Frida Öhrn.
Three girls with three different and incredible voices.
Three girls with guitars and harmonicas, stomp and handclaps.
Powerful, soulful and personal.
Add to that a contageous energy on stage and you’ll get an idea of who Cookies N Beans are.
2010 will be a busy year for Cookies N Beans.
They will have a flying start releasing their second album in Febuary 2010 – ”Beg, Borrow and steal”.
An album produced by the wonderful swedish multitalented artist Kristofer Åström.
Many great artist and songwriters like, Sophie Zelmani, Lisa Miskovsky, Tobias Fröberg and Charlie Craig have contributed by composing some beautiful tracks on
the record.
Besides that, Cookies N Beans have written their own songs as
well.
The story of Cookies N Beans takes us back to 2003 and a small basement
in the Southern part of Stockholm, the indeed modest venue for their first
gig. It was just meant to be an entertaining evening for friends and
family, but the feedback and the sensation of playing together was just
too overwhelming to let it end there.
This evening became the start of a more or less neverending tour, and by
now they have made over 300 gigs in Sweden and Europe.
In the fall of 2008 they won the category ”Alternative Country” at the prestigeous Swedish Country Music Championship, that took place in Sälen / Sweden, in February 2009 they perform the song "What If" at the Swedish
Eurovision Song Contest in Skellefteå, and in the summer of 2009 Cookies N Beans entered one of the coolest venues in Sweden – called Dalhalla – where they were the support act for the great Rosanne Cash.
The music of Cookies N Beans is made out of heart and soul – they ARE
heart and soul.
When three strong, personal voices find harmony, without
having to compromise with their own expression - pure magic is bound to
happen.
Testimonies reveal that more than once - large, big bearded men with
tattoos have bursted into tears while listening to Cookies playing
live!
But they don’t just serve heartbreaking ballads: They also play raw and
sweaty countrymusic that makes it impossible to stand still!
Among the more significant influences you will find artists like the
brilliant Dolly Parton, Lucinda Williams in her appealing harshness, Gram
Parson, and Emmylou Harris with her characteristic touch of sadness.

2010 blir en rivstart för Cookies N Beans, i vår släpper dom sitt andra
album betitlat ”Beg, Borrow and Steal”.
Frida Öhrn, Charlotte Centervall och Linda Ström är var och en för sig
tre välkända namn inom Svensk musikbransch och tillsammans skapar dom magi
på scen och på skiva.
Sagan började med en spelning i en sunkig källare på söder, mellanlandade bla. på den fantastiska scenen Dalhalla, och i december spelade Cookies N Beans i Globen!
De är ett utpräglat liveband med ca 300 spelningar av
skiftande karaktär i bagaget, och sagan bara fortsätter…
”Beg, Borrow and Steal” är ett efterlängtad album av Cookies frälsta fans
runtom i Sverige.
Förutom att dom själva har skrivit låtar på skivan har välrenumerade
låtskrivare och artister såsom Sophie Zelmani, Lisa Miskovsky, Tobias
Fröberg, Elin Sigvardsson, Charlie Craig och Kristofer Åström bidragit med låtar.
Åström - Sveriges okrönte countryson - har även tillfört sitt
norrländska vemod och kärvhet som producent för skivan.
Cookies N Beans sjunger och spelar musik med hjärta och själ. Det har hänt
mer än en gång att vuxna råbarkade karlar fallit i gråt.
Men det är inte bara hjärtskärande ballader som bjuds, dom levererar även
taktfast, rå, svettig och alldeles egen musik som du inte kan stå still till!
Bland de stora influenserna hittar man den genialiska Dolly Parton, Lucinda
Williams med sin kärvhet, Gram Parson och Emmylou Harris med sitt vemod,
m.fl.
