Cordcalling, an edgy rock duo based in London, ON, is "doing more with less" (Jason Schneider of Kitchener ON's The Record, 2008). After playing with various other musicians, Denise and Brian Conway realized that they could reveal their creative talent best on their own. So, in 2006, they took the leap and began writing and performing songs that would uncover their unique musical style. Since, their 2008 CD release, "When I Scream", they have been on the same bill as artists such as Sloan, The Trews, Default, Burton Cummings, Circuit for the Blackout, The Artist Life, Sass Jordan, SNFU, Bloc Party, Holy F**, Hinder, Papa Roach, Serena Ryder, Illscarlett, Bobnoxious and many more! Cordcalling’s showcase at Canadian Music Week 2009 solidified their musical potential. Receiving airplay from stations such as IndieCan Radio and ON college stations such as CHRW 94.9 FM; press such as The National Post, and performances at top venues, such as Toronto’s The Horseshoe Tavern, further demonstrates the power and determination of this duo. Cordcalling was one of the most nominated bands in The 2009 London Music Awards. This is only the beginning of their success as they continue to tour and receive positive media within Ontario and beyond. Cordcalling is best known for their poetic lyrics, passionate vocals, innovative guitar work, and emotional drumming. Their unpredictable time changes and fusion of various musical styles makes their live performances beam with raw energy and their recordings a refreshing listen. Their broad creative musical playground is summed up by Dave Clarke: "Cordcalling manages to mix punk, psych, grunge and Goth over the course of three tracks." Cordcalling embodies the undertones of their name. Cord is the spiritual bond that connects them to one another and to their Maker. Calling is symbolic of their belief that everyone has a purpose. Cordcalling's purpose is to express to the world, in their unique and sincere way, the inner cries of the soul. ..Header Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com!
