One day they set foot on earth. The earth wasn’t familiar to them. It was a new life, this life, though they kept on reeling, still dizzy with fights, songs and rhum. One never forgets sailing. The Cosmic Charlie were once privateers for a heavenly king and made their route by reading the stars. They were used to tacking through fierce, howling storms and to forcing their way on enemy board, almost turning their guts inside out! Neither Heaven nor Hell can be forgotten, while following their path under the fantastic eye of the Lord. Cheering up their brothers heart’s, using from now on this same heart as a vessel, with new musical weapons that are better fit to read fate and life than the ones of bygone massacres.

Un jour ils ont mis pied à terre. La terre ne leur était pas familière. C’était une nouvelle vie, la présente, mais ils tanguaient toujours, encore ivres de combats, de chants et de rhum : on n’oublie jamais d’avoir navigué. Les Cosmic Charlie furent corsaires pour un roi céleste et ils lisaient leur route aux cieux. Cette habitude de tirer des bords, des tempêtes hurlantes à tout emporter et des abordages où les tripes menacent de s’évacuer. On ne saurait oublier le ciel ni l’enfer, en poursuivant sa course sous l’oeil fantastique du Père, en donnant du coeur aux frères, avec ce même coeur pour vaisseau, désormais, et de nouvelles armes de musique qui lisent mieux le sort et la vie que celles des massacres passés.
