I started drumming at the age of 15, but it was until I had 18 that I made my self pro when I joined DeKiruza (funk, soul r&b band Black Music Pioneers in Chile 1988). Here I played with my two brothers, Pedro Foncea (vocals) and Felipe Foncea (Keyboards). I stayed in the band, playing drums (I also played guitar and bass on some tracks) till 1996 with the release of our 3rd album Bakan with the homonym hit single.
Then in 1997 after having all my music influences together, I formed (with my younger brother Felipe) DRACMA, we release two albums, by Universal Surco USA, co produced by Gustavo Santaolalla (2006 Academy Award Winner).
We had great success in Chile and Latin America, we also won the first MTV Moonman in Chile (before they were Latin MTVs). This was the "2001 MTV Viewers Choice Award" in NY. The band toured around Latin America for 3 years. We opened for act such as KORN, SEPULTURA, A.N.I.M.A.L., and we played on different arenas in Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Mexico, Bolivia until we split in October 2004. In the meantime, I produced and composed music for TV Commercials and Films, while I bought a house, construct a Recording Studio and equipped it with Class A Recording Equipment. This is currently operating in Chile and its called Foncea Estudios.
While producing and taking care of the studio (May 2005), Claudio and Eduardo called me and invite me to join Lucybell, one of Latin America's Top 1 Band, 14 years, 7 Albums.
We lived in Los Angeles, CA. and toured USA (Denver, NYC, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego), Mexico, Argentina, Peru and of course a full tour in Chile (25 dates in 30 days). Then we moved to my own Recording Studio FONCEA ESTUDIOS in Santiago - Chile and started to record our 7th album called "Comiendo Fuego" co produced by Adam Moseley (Nikka Costa, The Cure, Kiss, Ben Harper), we mixed it in Argentina and had the Master made in Los Angeles @ Precision Mastering Labs by Tom Baker.
We signed a new record deal with Warner Music Mexico, and since May 2006 we are Regional Priority Band. So we are going to be touring every part of America from now.
Thats my story for now very compacted but you know I dont want you to be bored.

El concierto del sábado... increíble... simplemente la cagó. Cache que hubo algunos detalles con la batería al principio pero después todo fue perfecto y se notaba que lo estaban pasando increíble! eso se transmite! 25 canciones... guaaau!! hace rato que no teníamos un concierto así! ¡Gracias!.
