“Couldn’t You Wait?” is a feature length documentary about the independent rock band, Silkworm. Including over sixty interviews ranging from rock critics and fans to their contemporaries and friends, this film chronicles their long, industrious career from their beginnings in Missoula, MT to the band’s tragic end in Chicago, IL seventeen years later.
The film's narrative is provided by extensive interviews with the surviving members as well as voiceovers of tour journals written by the deceased drummer, Michael Dahlquist. Intercut with extensive live footage, hundreds of photos, and interview clips, we intend to give a detailed overview of Silkworm's unique story of perseverance in the congested rock scene of the nineties and beyond.
