Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Let me introduce myself: Count Adriano Fettucini; multi instrumentalist, circus performer and all round buffoon. Currently attempting to take the burlesque world by storm with the STRIPTEASE on a UNICYCLE and the all new REVERSE STRIPTEASE on a UNICYCLE! Recently I was interviewed on a radio 4 show about busking called Passing the Hat. I recently competed in The 2009 Male Tournament of Tease finals in London. I am one of the organisers and performers at Brighton's only ALL MALE BURLESQUE CABARET, DER WUNDERLICH REVUE. I also perform regularly at Kroon Kat Lounge Brighton, Richard Durrant's Airport Club, Shoreham and Glue Gun, '91 Brighton. I have also performed at Voodoo Vaudeville, Brighton. Other routines include the rather bizzare SPINNING PLATES and BODY PIERCINGS routine, correographed COMEDY JUGGLING and DIABOLO routines and the recitation of POETRY whilst performing with CIGAR BOXES. I also regularly change my hat to perform peculiarly amusing ditties on my trusted and cracked UKELELE. Sometimes I am booked for specific routines, particularly the strip, sometimes what I perform is determined by the audience, yes you, spinning the wheel of misfortune.
I performed at all of The Sunday Club events, a now sadly defunked childrens cabaret show featuring Bodger and Badger, where I sang a few songs, some made up on the spot and performed comedy juggling routines. I have been known to do name that tune rounds at pop quizzes (primarily I Predict a Pop Quiz) usually on bagpipes, but also on teapot, nose flute and saw.
The Music Bit: Having performed on a plethora of instruments for many years in countless bands, I struck upon the idea of performing a striptease whilst riding a unicycle in the middle of a song. I currently limit myself to playing the ukelele so I can unicyle to gigs in a 3 piece suit and bowler with the uke on my back and a suitcase of props in my hand.
The last band I was in was The Golgi Apparatus, members of which are now in The Logical Hairs. I have been known to sit in on bass with The Bobby Mcgees and sometimes sit in on a plethora of instruments with Foster and Gilvan and of course Foz pops up on stage to join me for The Hagfish and Mike if he's about. I am usually present in the fold when Sawchestra play. Over the years I have played the following live: electric, 6 and 12 string acoustic and bass guitars, bagpipes, ukelele, various sizes of recorder, nose flute, peace flute, teapot, hosepipe, percussion, drum kit, tenor horn, keyboards and analogue synth . The tenor banjo hasn't made it out yet! I have mostly played in London and Sussex but when in The Tribe of Cro we supported Hawkwind on tour in the UK and toured in Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany. I have been a member of Floating Temple, The Giant Eyes, The Tribe of Cro, Monkeyfloss and Nimbus.
The Circus Bit:
Until recently the only circus stuff I had done live was the unicycle strip. Coerced into The Sunday Club by my mate Pete of I Predict a Pop Quiz, I had to dust off the clubs and diabolo. After developing routines over a few shows, I bought some cigar boxes and spinning plates and then started modifying the kids routines for adult shows. Thus, the Wheel of Misfortune was wonderfully bolstered.
oye oye thanks for joining the recent world of Phat Tucker, Dont forget we are down the Six Bells in Chiddingly tonight and this isn't gonna be that frequent in this neck of the woods ;-)
