CRAiC HAUS / krak howss / Irish and German origin: means FUNHOUSE. As the pioneers of the, not yet discovedred, SHAMROCKABILLY SCENE, CRAiC HAUS is breaking NEW ground everywhere they play. As a Rastaman once said, "Deez boys, only run on HIGH OCTANE, mon!" -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Starting off as a novelty offshoot of the traditional Irish band PADDY DOYLE'S BOOTS. Danny Oberbeck and Lief Frederick from the BOOTS along with Danny's 13 year old son Dylan on guitar began building it's own audience and huge sets of songs; from traditional "Irish" to OLD SCHOOL PUNK to ROCKABILLY to SWING and exciting ORIGINAL tunes heard on their two full lenghth CDs " PUNKELTIC SHAMROCKABILLY" ( produced by JAKE SMITH of CRUCIFIX S.F. fame) and "WHO'S YER PADDY NOW?" produce by Jake Smith and Barrett Slagle ( Due out in February 09).-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CRAiC HAUS is actually three different projects- CRAiC HAUS shamrockabilly, CRAiC HAUS DELUXE and CRAiC HAUS traditional---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CRAiC HAUS ( shamrockabilly) is our Showcase band playing original SHAMROCKABILLY tunes. With Danny On drums/vocals , Dylan on guitar and Julian Johnson (Jonny Come Lately) on King Double bass. They've been tearin' it up everywhere they play making lots of great new friends.
They've been playing with all of the great local and national Rockabilly/Psychobilly bands like the M3T3ORS, the CHOP TOPS, the Hillbilly Hellcats, the ROCKETZ, No Dice, Johnny Dahmer, Calavera, Wrecking Dead, Drop Dead Beats, Dead Enderz, Swtichblade 77, Gamblers Mark, Badtown, Sugar Daddys,Los Chilaqs, Los Duggans, and many others.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CRAIC HAUS DELUXE is the 4 hour show pub band with DANNY on drums and lead vocals, his son DYLAN on guitar and backing vocals and LIEF FREDERICK on 6-string electric bass and backing vocals. Although, there is a 40 year span between the left and right side of the stage CRAIC HAUS DELUXE blows up every generation gap and goes from Chet Atkins to Stiff Little Fingers with unpredictable ease. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CRAiC HAUS traditional is Danny and Dylan on mandolin and acoustic guitar playing hours of your favorite traditional Irish music.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Years ago, Danny started his own punk rock band, LOST CAUSE, when he was 14 and got to open for all the great bands of the time: SOCIAL DISTORTION, TSOL, FEAR, the CIRCLE JERKS, MIDDLE CLASS, the GEARS, SHATTERED FAITH, 45 GRAVE, MEAT PUPPETS, VICE SQUAD, CHRON GEN, ETC...but he's never had as much FUN as right now!!!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From their very first gig as CRAiC HAUS opening for the BAY CITY ROLLERS to their most memorable gigs, opening for their favorite band of ALL TIME, 'X' , Danny and Dylan have hung together as drummer and guitarist, Dual fans of all the bands, and most of all, as Father and Son, to forge a path of unforgettable memories and Killer songs.-----------------------------------------------------------------------
So, IF THE HAUS IS SHAMROCKIN... DON'T BOTHER KNOCKIN, put on your dancing shoes and LET'S GET CRAIC'N !!!!
