Cris Christy was born on the beautiful island of Jamaica. Cris grew up under the heavy influence of music, church, and poetry. The later garnered him much attention in his childhood years. His poems were so deep and self reflective, that many people from his entire town compared him to the late great Robert Nester Marley. His mother, who was the church choir leader and organist, nurtured his singing and music talents throughout his childhood and teenage years. The voice that Cris has can only be called a blessing. It's because of this blessing that Cris has garnered national attention on the island of Jamaica. He has won many different prestigious awards as well. When he decided to take his singing and writing to the hotel circuits in Jamaica, Cris found himself feeling limited to only singing about certain topics because of his Christian upbringing. But after doing many different shows, he decided to experiment with R&B and naturally Reggae as well. After years of touring the island and performing, Cris decided to visit the United States of America. He continued his music career in the states, and has performed in many different churches, schools, concerts, and talent shows. But the pivotal moment for Cris, was when he was introduced to Sosa from MVB Entertainment, by their mutual friend, Tivo. After listening to a demo that Cris had been working on, Sosa was pleasantly surprised that he had been listening to Gospel music, and did not realize it. Since then, Cris has been hard at work putting the finishing touches on his upcoming CD "Love," to be released on MVB Records. Make no mistake about the album Love; it is beautiful and addicting, but it is Gospel. What else could you expect from a man who's name means "He who is anointed to bear the burden of Christ." Let there be "Love"
