CrosscuT started off back in 1992 in germany near M�nster to form one of the most unique metal bands of that time. They released a demo called "mindgroove" in 1997 that gained lot of attention around the "ruhrpott-area".
Then things happend very quickly, they were offered a record-deal in 2000 and released their debut "god given time" in 2001, accompanied by tours with bands like NAPALM DEATH , CLAWFINGER and the like, plus support-shows for acts like henry rollins, mot�rhead and many more.
2002 marked what could have been a possible break up, cause the singer of the band decided to leave crosscut, due to the fact that his musical background was not matching the band's future interests. As a matter to his leaving, his long time friend on bass left as well. So recording sessions to the second CD were postponed till a new bassplayer and a new singer were found.
Without hesitation the new formation started working on "nonesizefitsall" which was to be released in 2003. Unfortunately the fifth bandmember on the turntables wasnt able to do the upcoming tour to promote the record. So the band decided to go on working as a four-piece.
Tour included gigs in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and France with support shows for SEPULTURA , ATREYU , CALIBAN , MADBALL , BORN FROM PAIN , HEAVEN SHALL BURN and lots more...
By summer 2004 the four locked themselves up in famous WOODHOUSE STUDIOS to produce a record under guidance of top-producer Siggi Bemm. That recorded went above top of all they had done before. Not only sounding better, but feeling better, focused on what the band themselves wanted to record, not influenced by any trends or radio formats, they entitled that album "director's cut"
The follow-up tour included big events like WITH FULL FORCE with the mighty SLAYERIRON MAIDEN , SICK OF IT ALL , etc.... they appeared on the german leg of the "taste of chaos tour 05" and shared stage with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and RISE AGAINST . And while already in the writing process of their fourth full length took a break to step in to m�nster's "vainstream festival in front of 5000 kids to celebrate with UKs upcoming BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE.
All of which were huge success and are about to be continued....
