We have a variety of Influences. Four individuals with very different backgrounds of music interests. Good Old Rock & Rock, Solid Kickin Country, 80's Music and More. She's still a country girl true to soul of her boots, but has transformed into "Rockstar Roni". Picking a handful of "Musical Moments": Singing at Legend's Corner in Nashville, Opening the Black Bear Music Fest for Ricky Skaggs, competition singing, and meeting so many musical legends. When it comes to Musical Influences: 80's music, Kicking Country, and music with quality lyrics. Coming out of her Country shell and has started taking a her own kick on Billy Joel, Katy Perry, ACDC, Quiet Riot, Lita Ford, Meridith Brooks, Benetar, Guns & Roses, Fergie and Pink. She's lovin it!. ********** ********************* ****************** **************** ************ ********* ****************************** *********** ************* ******* ************* *********** *********** Brian Gunderson is our lead guitar. He has been playing guitar for numerous years, and is naturally gifted at getting more sounds of his guitar than should be humanly possible. Brian also sings a variety of music at the shows, and enjoys distracting other members of the band with teeth licking, sign language, shimmies, and other obnoxious behavior. Brian has been playing in bands, teaching guitar, and entertaining the Duluth and Superior area for many years, formally in a great Duluth ROCK band called "Guilty". Brian is musically influenced by Al Di Meola, Jeff Beck, Elvis Presley, Sleeping Beauty, Santa Claus, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. A "Musical Moment" for Brian would be meeting and conversing Al Di Meola several times. ************* ************* ******************** **************** *********** **************** *********** ******************* ************ **** "J.R", is on bass guitar, and vocals. He's been playing in the music world from Mississippi, Kentucky, Nashville to Duluth Minnesota! J.r now resides in Duluth, Minnesota but he is truly our "southern bell". At times, J.R's energy leads him to missing on stage, and God only knows where he is, probably chasing woman on the dance floor. We sometimes wish his bass wasn't cordless :) Musically influenced by the Eagles, George Strait, and other kickin music. A "Music Moment" that he holds true to his heart is meeting Mr. Johnny Cash. True to his country style, but don't let this country boy fool ya, he gives the Rock and Roll world a twirl with songs by : Kiss, Prince, Springfield and others. ******* ******* ******** ******* *********** ********** ************* *********** ********* ******** ***** ******* ************And our amazing drummer is Glen Thomas. He started playing drums 42 years ago at age 8, and has been playing ever since. Covering all styles from swing to punk. He has performed in a long list of music venues/groups including: Topaz, Uptown Manhattan, Incahoots, Centerville Allstars, The Busters Hometown blues band, Studebaker John and the Hawks, Duluth Symphony orchestra and Playhouse Productions. His long list of experience also includes a variety of National Acts including Jimmy Thackery and the Drivers, Luther Allision, Mick Sterling. Musical Moments for Glen include: Performing at Bluesfest in front of 10,000 people on a perfect summer day. Meeting Buddy Rich in person. And having official bragging right that he is a six time Bayfront Blues Fest performer ! Hey there Roni, Here is the info. for the Pinko Jam: 10th Annual Pinko Jam Saturday, Apr 11 2:00p to Sunday, Apr 12 2:30a Live Music at all three downtown bars all day, free admission. Money being raised to benefit area special needs people. Raffles being held all day long. Roni! I am so excited, you guys will be at the el toro next weekend and that is the big huffman fishing contest so a TON of people will be up there saturday night including Johnny and I :) I think Ricky and Jason will be too, see you then!
The bear survived, it's sits on my bed at night. I didn't get to make it out saturday night, but next time you guys are at the El' Toro I am definately going to try and be there!!
