CFS on HASSLE COMP CFS Longest Day EP CFS on Visible Noise SUBVERSE COMP THE GLORIOUS DEAD

Born in the summer of 2000, CFS started life with the sole intention of making a brutal impact on the flourishing local Watford scene. The mixture of haunting melodies and sheer heaviness soon became their trademark - the formula remains the same to this day, if not more passionate and relentless.

The band were eager to commit their efforts to CD as quickly as possible, shocked by the local frenzy they'd seemed to have caused from just a handful of shows - this came in the form of a self-released EP "Through The Precious Words", which was frantically re-pressed a number of times to meet demand. Rather than sticking to playing local shows every weekend (which were often described as "prison riots"!), CFS made a decision they were going to spread their wings and take on the real world.

Since then, a 2004 Mighty Atom release ("The Longest Day"), several compilation appearances and an uncompromising stage show have seen the band play and tour with the likes of Poison the Well, Shai Hulud, My Chemical Romance, The Bled, The Hope Conspiracy, Funeral For A Friend, The Distillers, Sikth, Strung Out, The Haunted, From Autumn to Ashes, Hopesfall, Fightstar, The Black Dahlia Murder, Nora, Caliban, Architects, Sepultura, Shadows Fall, Give It A Name '07 and countless more...

After a string of demos, tracks and short releases, CFS are proud to finally anounce the release of their full length album, out now on Visible Noise.

CFS were/are a big influence to the shit that we write, and we're so sad to see you split up. We personally think that your label have been complete cunts to you guys. They haven't helped one tiny bit to get you to where you deserve to be, and we're disappointed that you never got to reach the heights that everyone knew that you were capable of.

Well done for writing forward thinking music and for lasting as long as you did.

Good luck and goodbye!

All my fucking UK favorites are falilng apart.

Jul 28 2008 9:08 PM

Shame to see you go guys. You've been a constant prescence in the UK underground since I started becoming interested in it / involved it it - around 6 years ago. Good on you guys for carrying on all this time, it takes a hell of alot of dedication, and I really respect that.

Best of luck with all future musical endeavours.

I'm sorry to hear that you are disbanding. Eight years is a long time and much respect to you for sticking to what you believe in for so long. I've known you guys for 6 years and I know you've worked hard for all these years.
I hope you continue to make music in some way, and I look forward to hear what comes out next from you guys.

Jul 28 2008 7:28 PM

I am genuinely saddened by your split, you are(were) an amazing band live and on record and I felt after Sikth split you were pretty much flying the flag for Watford metal, now it seems theres nothing left in this town...even though I only got into your music last year you have had a big impact on me and you've definately been one of the best bands to come out of the UK in recent times. Anyway although I dont understand your decision I fully respect it, and look forward to hearing of future projects from you all.

P.S. Any chance of doing one last show? Or was there one already that I didnt know about? :(
(Miss) Anneka!

Hey guys, I haven't been around for a while, so I thought I'd drop you a line.

I should still be coming to the 10th of August gig, but i'm unsure due to where I'd stay. But I'm trying to get shit sorted. I'm praying I can get there because you guys are insane live!
