CUEROCK WILL CONTINUE!!! AFTER 3 YEARS OF UNCERTAINTY WE ARE NOW COMPLETE AGAIN. NOW WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SINGER TO EXTEND OUR LINE-UP!
Founded as "CUE" in 1975 CUEROCK is now about to step into the third generation! In the seventies there were bands like Genesis, Pink Floyd and Yes that had big influences on the musicians of "CUE"; in the middle of the 80ies three young musicians - Achim Harhoff, Axel Ludwig and Matthias Boerste - joined the band, importing influences such as Deep Purple, Rainbow, but mainly TOTO. We were a bunch of friends. We lost our Freddy-Mercury-style lead singer at the end of the 80ies and searched for a substitute more than three years, did a first CD and found out, that the new singer wasn..t more than just a substitute! So we let him go. Then we lost our concert-piano-keyboardplayer and our perspectives for the future. BUT WE WERE A BUNCH OF FRIENDS! Axel, Matthias and Achim stayed together for several years, having nothing more than weekly "rehearsals" - jamming together. We knew there couldn..t be any better musicians for ourselves. We didn..t join any other projects!
Then in 1998 we met Andreas Blechmann - a studied church musician. The first jamming with him showed we were made for each other! We produced a demo CD called "The Inner Eye Of CUE" containing 4 instrumentals and archieved great reviews in german guitarplayer-magazin and in the RockHard-fanzine; a nomination for the german rockaward 1999 following.
So we decided to go on instrumental, trying to combine the polyphonic strukture of classical music with the punch and heavyness of rock music. But before we could finish our CD in 2004 our bassplayer and 20 years companion Axel Ludwig died on 9/27. Matthias left the band, Andreas and Achim started some side-projects.
In summer 2007 bass player Klaus Hogrebe joined the band, playing the bass vivid and virtuoso. And now we..ve got our admired Matthias Boerste back on drums.
