This project is something I have been wanting to do for a long time !! I have always been known for my playing in the jam band scene with Blueground Undergrass and Widespread Panic. I have also had a deep appreciation for traditional music (old time, folk, texas, bluegrass, irish, canadian.......the list goes on) and grew up playing bluegrass festivals and fiddle contests. The older I get the more I find myself returning to my youth and wanting to put together a stringband to play traditional folk and fiddle music. Well that time has come !! Curley Maple named after a shelter on the Appalachian trail......not to mention, curly maple is also used to make musical instruments too.
