デイルはイギリス出身のブルースハープも操るアコースティックギタリストである。エリック・ローシェに直接師事し、またトーマス・リーブやミュリエル・アンダーソン、ドミニク・ミラー、アントニオ・フォーション、ガスリー・ゴバンなどの開催するマスタークラスにも参加。 2009年には彼の2枚目のアルバムであり初のソロアルバムともなる「How The Light Gets In 」がiTunesを通じて全世界でリリース。デイルはギター教師として、教えていた経験を活かして、自分の演奏技術に基づく有名な教則ビデオをシリーズで作っていて、ポッドキャストやYoutubeを通じても多くを無料で観る事ができる。彼の演奏スタイルは独特で、実際にライブで彼の指や手がギターの上を飛び回り、叩いたり、タップしたりスラップしたり、かき鳴らしたり、つまびいたりなど、あらゆる方法で音を鳴らす奏法には目を見張るものがある。彼のパフォーマンスでは、オリジナル曲に加え、「Billie Jean」や「She Drives Me Crazy 」「Zombie」などをアレンジしたものも演奏のレパートリーに入っている。

Just finished my first year at bath doin music, is goin pretty good so far, am realy into the jazz stuff at the mo. Im back in cheltenham soon and am tryin to start up some guitar teaching over the summer, so if theres anyone u know who needs some extra lessons just for the summer, or wants to learn jazz guitar let me know! Also do u know of any open mics happenin around gloucestershire these days or jam nights? Hope things are well anyways. matt
