MÄUSE

DIE LEGENDÄRE BAND MÄUSE gilt als Erfinder eines Musikbastards namens Electroclash. Gegründet 1994 von Gerhard Potuznik und Tex Rubinowitz landeten sie durch Förderung Falcos auf dessen Label Gig Records. Ihr Debüt "John Lennon beim Betreten einer Bar in New York" erreichte Kultstatus und verkaufte unfassbare 171 Einheiten.

DIE NACHFOLGENDEN PLATTEN "Teen Riot Günther Strackture" und "Made in Japan" erschienen auf Patrick Pulsingers Label Cheap, sie gingen etwas besser, weil die Leute langsam auf die Pionierleistung von Mäuse aufmerksam wurden. Es folgten ausgedehnte Touren mit Alan Vega, der Krautrocklegende Faust und Tulip, der singenden Tulpe.

AUFTRITTE in der Amoebar in Helsinki, dem Mühlbauer Flagshipstore in Tokyo und auf den Maracujaplantagen Paolos in Porto/Portugal.

1999 LÖSTEN POTUZNIK UND RUBINOWITZ Mäuse auf weil ihnen das dauernde Touren auf die Nerven ging, und sie gründeten stattdessen das Label Angelika Köhlermann.

2007 DIE REAKTIVIERUNG des Projekts Mäuse unter Zuhilfenahme der großartigen Musiker philipp Quehenberger und Didi Kern. Erster fulminanter Auftritt im Palais de Tokyo in Paris, die Olsen Twins waren auch da.

MÄUSE (MICE)

THE LEGENDARY BAND Mäuse is considered to be the inventor of the musical bastard called "electroclash". Founded in 1994 by Gerhard Potuznik and Tex Rubinowitz, they were promoted by Falco and were signed by his label Gig Records. Their debut "John Lennon beim Betreten einer Bar in New York" ("John Lennon, entering a bar in New York") reached cult status and was sold an unbelievable 171 times.

THE FOLLOWING ALBUMS "Teen Riot Günther Strackture" and "Made in Japan" were released on Patrick Pulsinger's label Cheap. These records sold a little better since people slowly started recognizing the pioneering work done by Mäuse.

LONG TOURS followed, with Alan Vega and Krautrock legends Faust and Tulip, the singing Tulip. Gigs in the Amoebar in Helsinki, in the Mühlbauer flagship store in Tokyo, and on the passion fruit plantations in Porto/Portugal.

IN 1999, annoyed by the constant touring, Potuznik and Rubinowitz broke up Mäuse and founded the label Angelika Köhlermann instead.

IN 2007, the project Mäuse was reactivated with the help of two great musicians: Philipp Quehenberger and Didi Kern. Their first spectacular show was at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris. The Olsen Twins were also in attendance."
