"...heartfelt babymaker soul..."
- All Music Guide
"One of the most captivating albums we've heard on Ubiquity in a long time."
- Dusty Groove
"...Highlands flows together beautifully..."
- Boomkat
"... a tone that recalls a subdued Ben Harper, Aaron spins husky, soulful tales of love and life over sparsely built, echoing soundscapes, chilled reggae rhythms and pulsing, synthesized, moulded hip-hop beats."
- Exclaim! Canada
"...embark on a futile bout of lexical tail-chasing as you endeavour to find adequate adjectives with which to catalogue his stunning, burnt sugar vocals."
- Stylus Magazine
"This is the type of album to get lost in-all gentle strumming, tuneful melodies, and carefully rendered chord progressions. Damon Aaron‘s startlingly powerful yet quietly introspective vocal delivery draws the listener into an intensely private world."
- XLR8R
"An unusual blend of deeply soulful singer-songwriter tunes in the tradition of Van Morrison, Seal with a dash of Sam Cooke and Ben Harper thrown in for good measure."
- Copper Press
