Dan Bryk is originally from the Toronto suburb of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
Mr. Bryk (or just "Bryk", or "Db" -- your call) likes to write songs and make records. His second record Lovers Leap was released by a bunch of different labels in different countries and some people (maybe yourself?) really really like it a lot. Back in Toronto, Bryk played shows with some people you might have heard of like Leslie Feist, Ron Sexsmith and Fountains of Wayne (whose label Scratchie Records put out Lovers Leap in the US).
Dan spent the last seven years living in NC, where he hid from the feds (long story, that) and made a couplemorerecords, including a brand new one called Pop Psychology. In Chapel Hill he opened shows for some great artists like Tim Williams, Teddy Thompson and The Old Ceremony.
He recently moved to New York city, where he is in the process of putting a new band together and (duh) making yet another record.
Not much of a story, really, except for three things:
1. Dan Bryk writes really great songs; 2. He sings and plays those songs the only way he knows how -- with a TON of heart and soul; and 3. He knows how to make great pop records.

Man, Dan - seriously - am exceeding the amount of fun I should be having midweek listening to your tunes. They're awesome. Am so glad you stopped on by. Have some new ones up myself if you're at all interested. Feel as though there's a little brotherhood happening between the tunes. Scott.
