I figured out which song it is! If you have a copy of "Songs from the Big Chair," listen to the album version of "Mothers Talk" (U.S. version). It's faster, but there are some similar effects in the last minute of the song.
i'm actually a real bad-ass axeman myself eh . . .
@ present re-building an acoustic guitar and w/ Seymour Duncans - Studio bein' set-up for recording in the near future - will show ya pics when i am finished
This is bugging. I know I've heard a song with similar effects. One that it slightly reminds me of is "Somebody" by Depeche Mode, but I could swear something by Tears for Fears on "Songs from the Big Chair" matches the effects even more closely. I just can't place which song.
Hi Dan. Please check out "Hiding Space - Demo" now on the profile. The effects give it an early Depeche Mode feel.
(Long ago, Bill tried writing lyrics in a derivative way. The results were jokes and it is good thing he shared them with few. Fast-forward 2-3 years and he wrote something he knew was in his own voice, from his mind, his heart. All the other lyrics had been thrown away. This one was kept. But no one ever put music to it. Fast-forward several more years and Bill performed it a capella at the end of an acoustic open mic set with Andy. Fast-forward 2 more years and now Bill has added some effects to that recording and posted it here, hoping in a few weeks Scott will have some ideas for how to add instruments to it. Bill has also been messing with midi, hoping that sharing that with Scott as well will allow him to formulate instrumental ideas. We'll see how it goes. )
