Daniel Kandi is undoubtably one of the biggest upcoming trance producers to emerge from Europe at the moment.
Above & Beyond was quick to react to Daniel Kandi's VERY first demo, and signed it straight away. “Breathe” became Daniel's first single on one of the successful Trancelabels called Anjunabeats, and charted high on various onlineshops and got canned by Above & Beyond, Judge Jules, Armin Van Buuren, and many more. Breathe, Child/Nova, Make Me Believe/I Found The Way, Turnmills/Soraya all took top 5 and top 10 placements on the Trance Charts online, and gained support from the biggest names in the business.
2008/2009 has been a groundbreaking year for Daniel Kandi, as his gigs-schedule has reached firm awareness with respected gigs on the recent ASOT 400-tour, the Anjunabeats 100 Party at Syndicate, Airport Flight in Argentina, Eurofest in Mexico, Godskitchen Poland for 7000 crazed trancefans, and even travelled to Indonesia to wow the 3000-man crowd at Segara Lounge. Not to forget his US-debut at Fresh Squeezed Festival in L.A. at a 4000-man packed bullfighting-arena.... Etc...!
The summer of 2009 will also feature more great debut-gigs, as Daniel just opened the mainstage of Nature One Festival in Germany and has been booked to play at the respected 'Monday Bar Cruise', and a long awaited Ibiza-debut will take place at the Goldsessions Boatparty.
As the year runs by, Daniel will have played numerous times alongside the greatest of the industry. Besides doing great with his own productions, Daniel Kandi is also known for being a very consistent remixer. The support for his tunes in 2009 has been ever growing, and the top dj..s of the world keep throwing them into the cdj..s.
Luke Warner & Mat Lock - Deep PsychosisDaniel Kandi's Cure Mix entered the ASOT radioshow with promising words from Armin. The week after it was also earned TUNE OF THE WEEK, and the week after FUTURE FAVORITE, and even played on ASOT 350 live from Belgium. Even before that, it was a tune that got many "what is this"-requests during Armins last US-tour..! Suddenly back in the top 20 on Beatport.com more than 4 months after it's release, Armin Only made alot of new people, aware of the tune.
Masters & Nickson - Out There (5th Dimension) [Daniel Kandi's Bangin' Mix] has been one of the most anticipated remixes from Daniel, ever since it aired last winter on ASOT. Hailed a top 3 tune from Daniel Kandi's own production by most of his fans, it just received further positive words, when it got 5/5 in the DJ Mag Review. Alex M.O.R.P.H. also reviewed the track as "Absolutely fantastic! 10 out of 10!". Already climbing up the charts to no. 1 on Audiojelly.com, due to the massive support from Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten (Also charted as No. 1 on his Beatport Chart), Ronski Speed, Alex M.O.R.P.H., ATB and a string of other top DJ's. It seems to have become one of the melodic anthems of the 2008 summer.
Oceanlab ft. Justine Suissa - On a good day (Daniel Kandi Remix) has been a firm favorite with top guys as Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren, Sean Tyas and many more, over the spring of ..09. Whoever plays this tune, always gets the same "sing-a-long" feeling and hands in the air. When Kandi himself played it at ASOT 400 @ Air, Birmingham, the reactions were undeniable; a summer-hit for all trancelovers was made.
Daniel is also currently working on tracks for a future album, plus collaborations with Robert Nickson, Simon Patterson, and * (secret still, *schhh!*). The collaboratings with Robert Nickson seems to become a more frequent event in the future, since their friendship in the studio spun magical tunes at Daniel's first visit to The Netherlands. Besides those mentioned, a new Daniel Kandi single should be in the works for Anjunabeats.
There is no release date yet, BUT : Daniel Kandi & Daniel Neumann - "Let Go / Lovin' Feeling" will get released as an EP, on Anjunabeats late 2008. Same goes for "Liberate" including a bangin' remix from polands rising star Paul Miller, expected around early September.
