"Gorgeous folk pop infused with wistful vocals, female harmonies, waves of synths, and bouncy banjos."
-Sandra Sperounes, the Edmonton Journal
"In an industry full of pushy stage moms, crazy Britneys and pregnant teens, it is truly reassuring to meet musicians who are in the business purely for the music." -Becky Phillips, Youthink Magazine
"Songs are straightforward enough to be appreciated by almost everyone, with haunting vocals and filled to the brim with sincerity" -Bryan Britles, Vue Weekly
"Daniel Moir is an artist in the truest sense of the word seeking to make good music, not good money. That trait makes for some really nice music that can be found on this EP." - 8.9/10 Indie Music Stop cd review

At 19-years old, Daniel Moir is a force to be reckoned with. In just a short time, the young singer/songwriter has already accomplished feats that take many a lifetime to achieve. Composing music from the tender age of four years old, Daniel has since become an accomplished player on the Guitar, Piano, Drums, Banjo, Bass Guitar and Harmonica. Drawing inspiration from personal insight and life experience that varies from a rocky childhood to vagabonding through Europe, Daniel has created a unique blend of folk music that shines wisdom far beyond his years.
Before pursuing a solo career, Daniel honed his performance skills singing, playing and recording with various local Bands. Daniel’s music was soon noticed by Vancouver Producer Tom Dobrzanski, who invited Daniel to his Vancouver studio to work on his debut solo EP, “the Country and the Sea”. Over the course of three weeks, Daniel and Tom worked together to create the critically acclaimed album, which charted on radio across Canada and lead to the development of a devoted fan base.
Daniel was soon to be picked up by U22 music producer Rhea March, who provides credible performance opportunities and mentorship for young artists. After several Canadian tours and performances at various festivals, including playing for est. 15,000 at the Edmonton International Folk Festival, it is safe to say that the future is bright for Daniel Moir.
As well as being a musician, Daniel is also an accomplished painter, a dedicated meditator and nature-enthusiast. His anticipated full-length will be released early 2010.
