Daniel Maté (MFA, NYU ’07) wrote lyrics and co-wrote the book (with Will Aronson) for The Trouble With Doug, a Kafka-inspired musical that premiered recently at New York's CAP 21 Studios. His songs have been performed in New York at Joe's Pub, the Duplex, and as part of the York Theatre’s 4th NEO (‘New, Emerging, Outstanding’) Concert in 2008. His sold-out cabaret Marry Me, America was a Time Out New York ‘Critics’ Pick’. Daniel also teaches songwriting to young people and runs a ‘custom-songwriting’ service (www.startspreadingthemuse.com). Look for www.danielmate.com, coming very soon.
