Our "Redefined" CD Release Party was a huge success!
We had close to 350 people join us to celebrate our new CD "Redefined" on October 16th at Three Rivers Church in Plainfield, IL. Joe Buchanan and Weez Borchardt from 104.7 WBGL hosted the evening, special guests Gabe and Jeff Jaskowiak opened with an acoustic guitar set, and our former bass player Bill Coleman joined us onstage to perform the song "Such a Long Time." Local charity Lambs Fold received an overwhelming number of donations for their efforts in helping victims of domestic violence. And the four of us got to debut our new songs to a great audience of friends, fans, and family. Thanks to everyone who helped to make the evening such a success!
Redefined Accompaniment Tracks
Many of you have asked about getting just the music without the vocals to our new songs. On December 1st, we'll have the music to each song on our new CD "Redefined" available to download on our website. Each track comes without the vocals, so you can sing it at church or in youth group. The cost is just .99 per track. In 2010, we're also planning to publish a songbook with the piano accompaniment and guitar tabs to our most popular songs.
Heather's Blog: "Five Things I Love about Elvis's Sideburns" and Other Silly Surveys
Subscribe to Heather's Blog at www.aqueenofkings.blogspot.com.
If you’re on Facebook, you’re bound to have at least one friend who is compelled to answer every one of those surveys like “Twenty Things I Love about My Labradoodle” and “Ten Things I Can’t Stand about Rachael Ray” and then copy you on it.
In honor of Thanksgiving, I decided to create my own survey: “Top Ten Things I’m Thankful for in 2009” and invite you to participate. There are no rules; you can list anything you’d like, no matter how trivial it might sound. Send your name and your list to me at heather@danielswindow.com, and I’ll post the responses at www.danielswindow.com all during the month of November.
I’ll start with my list first, in no particular order:.
Heather’s Top Ten Things I’m Thankful for in 2009.
A six month bathroom project that’s finally finished, complete with a comfort height toilet seat (it’s the little things, folks)
An unborn child who appreciates a good scare on Halloween – when we listened to the baby’s heartbeat four days ago, the kid grabbed its umbilical cord and scared himself (or herself) silly (we heard racing heartbeats for the next 10 seconds!)
A new church that supports me and is genuinely interested in me as an individual (thanks, Three Rivers)
A husband who works at home and goes to Starbucks way too often with me
Friends and family who put up with my habit of sending birthday cards five months too late
A band who’s still got the same members we started with in 1997 (it’s true – we still like each other, too)
A God who hasn’t given up on me
Food in general
A day job that allows me to teach my piano students songs that range from “Mary Had a Little Lamb” to Debussy’s “Clair de Lune,” and occasionally the theme song to “Jaws.”
Good books, music, movies, and TV shows like Lost, House, Dollhouse, and FlashForward.
What are you thankful for? Whether 2009’s been a good year or a tough year, dig deep and send me some of your thoughts. Don’t wait for November 26th to roll around before you tell the important people in your life how much you appreciate them.
And don’t forget to thank God, the giver of all good things.

One day we’re gonna stand before God and he is going to ask two questions. The first question is, "What did you do with my Son Jesus Christ?" Not "What religion were you?" Not what denomination, not what background, where did you go to church. We were created for a relationship, not a religion--not rituals, not rules, not regulations. Then the second question is, "What did you do with what you were given?"
Thanks for the friendship! Hope you're having a wonderful week. If you had a chance to listen to any of our songs, I hope you also noticed that we love it when folks sing and record our songs … free! Just let me know if I can help. Stay blessed. Dale / Pathways
